MONTHLY TURNOVER ANNOUNCEMENT
FOR JANUARY 2008

The Company hereby announces that the unaudited net consolidated turnover of the Group was
approximately US$45.4 million for January 2008 and its net accumulative consolidated turnover
for the first month ended 31 January 2008 amounted to approximately US$45.4 million.
As at the date of this announcement, the Company was owned as to approximately 73.48% by
Taiwan Surface Mounting Technology (B.V.I.) Co. Limited which in turn was directly owned by
Taiwan Surface Mounting Technology Corp. (“TSMT Taiwan”), a company listed on the GreTai
Securities Market in Taiwan. As the Company (together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”) is the
major subsidiary indirectly owned by TSMT Taiwan with operations in the PRC and has substantial
profit contribution to TSMT Taiwan, TSMT Taiwan voluntarily publishes the unaudited consolidated
monthly turnover of the Group for the preceding month on the “Market Observation Post System”
pursuant to the requirements of the GreTai Securities Market of Taiwan. This announcement serves to
disclose simultaneously to the Shareholders and prospective investors in Hong Kong the information
about the aforesaid monthly announcement equivalent to the disclosure made by TSMT Taiwan in
order to ensure timely disclosure of information in Hong Kong.
The Company hereby announces that the unaudited net consolidated turnover of the Group was
approximately US$45.4 million for January 2008, representing an increase of approximately
45.5% compared with that of approximately US$31.2 million for January 2007, and an increase of
approximately 22% compared with that of approximately US$37.2 million for December 2007. The
Group’s net accumulative consolidated turnover for the first month ended 31 January 2008 amounted
to approximately US$45.4 million, representing an increase of approximately 45.5% compared with
that of approximately US$31.2 million for the first month ended 31 January 2007.

Mie-Nan and Ms. Lin Yen-Yu.
