ANNOUNCEMENT

This announcement is made pursuant to Rule 7.0 of the Rules Governing the Listing of
Securities on the Growth Enterprise Market of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.
The Board wishes to inform the shareholders of the Company and investors that the Group’s
unaudited net profit for the nine months ended 30 September 2007 are expected to increase
substantially compared with the net profit for the same period in 2006 due to the increase in the
sales of network servers.
Shareholders of the Company and investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the
shares of the Company.
The board of directors (the “Board”) of Powerleader Science & Technology Company Limited
(the “Company”, together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”) wishes to inform the shareholders of
the Company and investors that the Group’s unaudited net profit for the nine months ended 30
September 2007 are expected to increase substantially compared with the net profit for the same
period in 2006.

The expected increase in net profit is mainly due to the increase in the sales of network servers in
2007.

As the consolidated accounts of the Group for the nine months ended 30 September 2007
have not yet been finalized, the Board is not in a position to quantify precisely the extent of
the financial impact of the above on the Group. The Group expects to publish its unaudited
consolidated results for the nine months ended 30 September 2007 on 3 November 2007.
Shareholders of the Company and investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the shares
of the Company.
