APPOINTMENT OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The board of directors (the “Board”) of Kwang Sung Electronics H.K. Co. Limited (the “Company”) is
pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Lee Kyu Young (“Mr. Lee”) as an Executive Director and a
member of the Executive Committee of the Company effective April 17, 2007.
According to the service agreement between the Company and Mr. Lee, Mr. Lee has been appointed as
an Executive Director of the Company, from the date of appointment up to 28 February 2009 subject to
retirement by rotation and re-election at the annual general meetings of the Company as set in the
Company’s Articles of Association.
Mr. Lee is not entitled to any director’s fee for his director’s service with the Company. Mr. Lee does
not have any relationship with any directors, senior management or substantial or controlling
shareholders of the Company. As at the date hereof, Mr. Lee does not have any interest in shares of the
Company within the meaning of Part XV of the Securities and Futures Ordinance. Mr. Lee did not hold
any directorship in other listed public companies in the last three years.
Save as disclosed above, there is no other matter relating to Mr. Lee’s appointment that needs to be
brought to the attention of the shareholders of the Company, nor is there any information to be
disclosed pursuant to any of the requirements under the provisions of Rules 13.51(2)(h) to (v) of the
Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on
Resume of Mr. Lee
Mr. Lee, aged 44, has been the executive vice president of the Company since 2006. He holds a
bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering from Kwangwoon University in Korea. He has over 18
years of experience in world-renowned international companies including LG Information &
Communication and Hewlett Packard, specialized in satellite and wireless communication.
