ANNOUNCEMENT

Reference is made to the Company’s announcement dated 7 July 2006 in respect of the
appointment of Mr. Wu Hong Cho (“Mr. Wu”) as an Executive Director of the Company.

The Board wishes to state that Mr. Wu was a director of Happy Trade Limited (“HTL”)
which was incorporated in Hong Kong principally engaged in property holding. HTL was
wound up by order of the court on 7 June 2003. The winding up petition was filed against
HTL by the tenant of the held property in the High Court on 17 November 1999 and the
amount involved was HK$486,648.00, being rental and management fees deposit owed to
the tenant for which the tenant had made a statutory demand pursuant to section 178(1)(a)
of the Companies Ordinance. According to Mr. Wu, to his best knowledge and belief,
there has never been any misconduct or negligence on the part of HTL’s directors, nor
any allegation of such misconduct or negligence. The Board also considered that the
foregoing matter would not affect the suitability of Mr. Wu to act as director of the
Company.
